Amazon’s fulfillment center growth is increasing the distribution hiring boom. It currently operates 244 US facilities, 105 DCs or fulfillment center. Amazon plans to add 45 distribution or fulfillment centers in the U.S. over the next two years. They anticipate hiring 100,000 full-time employees by mid-2018.

Several factors are driving the competitive distribution hiring need including:

• Amazon expansion
• Increase in fulfillment demand from the growth of e-commerce
• Multi-decade low in overall U.S. unemployment
