Diversity Key to Supply Chain Talent Recruitment

Supply chain talent recruitment continues to be a challenge. African Americans and minorities are an untapped talent pool for the supply chain industry.  Nearly all students in Supply Chain Management (SCM) receive an internship and career opportunity.  The goal is to expand these opportunities.

As the competition to hire supply chain talent increases corporations are interacting with universities to create programs with students to give students a glimpse within the real life supply chain including:

  • Campus visits
  • Hiring managers interviewing directly with students on camps
  • Providing critical feedback to students
  • Inviting faculty member for organization tours
